Earnings and RPM Explanations

- Payment Processing (Extra Month): Once validation is complete, YouTube adds an extra month for payment processing. This covers their admin tasks and international payment transfers.
What does this mean for you?
Your earnings for any given month will be paid two months later:

- Upload your video immediately or schedule it for later. Either way, claims will be applied instantly, and your earnings will start with no delays!
Desktop Uploads (Steps)
Desktop uploads are an option if you prefer to use Mushy Media’s music directly in your video editing process. Follow these steps to ensure claims are applied effectively:
- Visit Mushy Media’s Mixes Page to download your chosen track.
- Edit your video and add the track as background music in your editing software.
- Go to YouTube Studio, click Upload Video, and select your Short.
- Ensure your video meets YouTube Shorts requirements (9:16 vertical aspect ratio, under 60 seconds) and adheres to Mushy Media’s Usage Guidelines.
- Decide how to upload your video:
- Recommended: Set the video to Unlisted during the upload process. Submit the video link to Mushy Media using our Dashboard Claim Form as soon as it’s uploaded. Wait at least one day for the claim to process, and then change the video to Public. This ensures the video is claimed before it’s made public, so you don’t miss out on any views.
- Alternative: Upload the video as Public immediately and submit the video link to Mushy Media using the Claim Form. Note that this option is less ideal because claims take time to process, and you may miss out on revenue for views received before the claim is applied.
Why Mobile is Recommended
Mobile uploads are faster and more seamless because:
- Claims are applied instantly, so earnings start right away.
- There’s no need to submit video links or wait for manual processing.
- You can edit your video without music and add the track directly during the upload process.
